About

In July of 2017, I ran away from “home.” I made the decision to end my 15 year marriage due to enduring multiple forms of abuse. My story is long and complex, one that I won’t delve into here. But even though I am the one who made the decision to end my marriage, and even though it was definitely the best choice I have ever made in my life, divorce was still a major shock to my system.

The whole divorce thing has been one wild and crazy ride that I am still on to some degree. Through it all, I’ve discovered that it makes a big difference to surround yourself with people who understand what you’re going through. Those who don’t can make an already difficult journey an even greater struggle. My goal with this blog is to provide some sort of support to those who are dealing with divorce, to share some of the things I’ve learned and am learning along the way, and to discuss the wild world of relationships so that we can hopefully have healthier ones moving forward.

I’m not a professional writer. I’m really not a professional anything. I do have a BS in Psychology, but am not a therapist, counselor, or doctor of any kind. However, I’ve been through hell and am, somehow, still standing. My hope is that all I’ve endured can be used to help others who might be going through the same thing.

I hope you enjoy my musings and perspective on all things pertaining to divorce and relationships! Please feel free to like, share, and comment!

I am strong. You are strong. Let’s do this together!
